Treasure House A.C

OUR IMPACT
Real Change
THE CHALLENGE
A HIDDEN CRISIS
Mexico faces one of the most urgent child-exploitation crises in the Western Hemisphere. Jalisco—where Treasure House is located—is one of the hardest-hit states.
Family-based trafficking and abuse are severely underreported, leaving thousands of girls invisible to authorities. Without interventions like Treasure House, many vulnerable girls would remain unprotected or lost within the system.

THE CHAPALA CORRIDOR
The Chapala Corridor—including Ajijic and Jocotepec—is home to a thriving community, but it also faces a hidden crisis. Tourism, economic inequality, and limited child-protection resources can leave vulnerable girls at greater risk of sexual exploitation and abuse—often without the protection they need.
Why is the risk so high?
-
High foreign tourism
-
Economic disparities
-
Limited protection infrastructure
-
Family-based trafficking
