Dear Friends,
It is so wonderful having all these children (11 in the home right now!) home with us for 2 full months over the summer. We have taken advantage of our free time to enjoy the weather, mountains, and beautiful parks in our area. My close friends in Michoacán invited us to join them for the Vacation Bible School they host each summer and it did not disappoint. The girls got to spend several days learning and experiencing what it is to be a real missionary. You would think they would know what a missionary is because, besides myself, we have 2 others working here at the Treasure House who are also missionaries. But by the end of VBS, they became experts and have hearts full of vision.
We were also blessed with a wonderful home to stay in, which I did not expect - I was prepared to take my air mattress to sleep on the floor, but the Lord spared this maturing woman!

Property Update
Yes! We did it! God is so good. For a moment we did not know what the Lord was up to when the original donor’s money was frozen, but He was faithful and used several wonderful people to help us get this perfect home paid for. We received several donations and a large loan which will be paid off very soon, so we are seriously blessed once again. The 7 bedroom, 4 bath home sitting on 1 full acre has proven to be exactly what we need to comfortably house all of us and offers plenty of room to swim, bike, jump, romp, and roam. It is a bit worn and tired, but we’ve had a team come to build a couple of bunk beds, take down a wall to add a kitchen bar, and make space for a closet.
In September, these awesome guys and several others will be returning to basically take an old, uninhabitable casita on the property and make it not just habitable, but beautiful! God has given mea vision and a mission to care well for whomever comes through our front door. This casita will house the older girls when they turn 18, but have no place to go and will house a house mother, as well.
I truly appreciate your support, prayers and donations. Together, we can build up those who were once victims, but who now know they are special treasures of our Lord Jesus!
