Our Mission

Treasure House is a safe house - a place of refuge and restoration - for sexually exploited girls under age 16.

We are serving multiple girls between the ages of 2 and 15 that have experienced horrific events in their lives. Unfortunately, in Mexico, there is little emphasis on healing the victims. No doubt, early identification and intervention are critical to the ability to function as they grow older. Children have the amazing ability to overcome abuse, but someone must care. We started with one girl and have witnessed the importance of a multi-faceted intervention from a team approach. Our older girls, who have been with us the longest, are emerging from their shells and now take roles of helping with the younger girls. Our work has just begun and now our vision has expanded. We are on the ground floor and seem to be the only option the Mexican government has.

Below is our strategic approach for the development and growth of Treasure House. Please continue to partner with us through prayer and financial assistance.

• Identification process: Identifying those we are able bring into the home to care for and support.

• Team approach: Psychologist, Teacher, Legal Connection, Caring Adult

• Daily structure: school, assessments, physical activity, spiritual disciplines, diet, clothing

• Staffing: Team updates per week

• Develop Relationships: government, sending agencies, nearby orphanages/foster care, and area police

• Environment: Chores, cleanliness, safety reviews

• File on each girl: updates, history, disorders, mental & physical health

• Maximum: 12 girls

Goal: Continue to build a foundation for possible growth and sustainability

Next 3 years

• Secure property to house 50 children

• Applying for grants from Missionary Orgs that build

• Train minimum 3 teachers, 3 psychologists

• House Mothers: Ratio 1 to 4 per home (2 parents per 8 children)
